First Brochure

Brochure 11 was my first selling experience with Avon.  I was quite surprised at how many people were interested in having a look at the brochure.  I had a couple of people come up to me and ask for one and I asked a few friends and most were more than happy to take one, but will they order? Time will tell. I only had 2 knock backs and it wasn't the end of the world.  They know that I am a representative and where to find me.  I found myself wanting to talk Avon all the time and wanted to ask people if they wanted to place an order, but I also didn't want to be the Avon Lady that people saw and tried to get away from, so I controlled myself. I only had a week to get orders so I just waited to see, then the orders started to come in I ended up getting 10 orders with a total to $450, I was really happy with myself and it wasn't really hard at all. All you have to do is ask, the worst thing people can say to you is no.

How it all started

I was so happy that a friends Mum started selling Avon. I hadn't seen a brochure for a number of years and was a little excited, I had in the past liked quite a few of their products so I put my hand up to see a brochure. It was good to see some of the old products had stood the test of time, I purchased some deodorant and mascara.  I was very happy with both, the next brochure I purchased the Herve Leger perfume and body wash, just love it. When my friends Mum dropped off the order there wasn't a brochure in he bag, the next day I saw my friend and said to him, I can't buy anything from your Mum if she doesn't put a brochure in, he wasn't sure about why, I saw his sister a few days later and I asked her, she said that her Mum wasn't doing Avon anymore, I was like wait on I want my Avon, how can I get my Avon, maybe I should become a representative myself. I spoke to a couple of friends and my Mum about this and all said sounds good. My intention was to sell to friends and family, but mainly so that I could get what I want and that I would always be around to buy from also a big bonus was that I get a discount.
